Oorah Looking for Talented Singers- Are You The Next Lipa?
It’s a tough market for aspiring Jewish singers. You need some connections, and then you have to find a composer to produce an original track, rent a recording studio to record it, acquire a good agent and a distributor. Most would-be singing stars would be discouraged faster than you can say “demo.”
But now, there’s an alternative, “fast-track” to gaining recognition in the music world – the Oorah Auditions competition. In conjunction with Oorah’s annual auction, is soliciting contestants who aspire to have their musical talents showcased on Oorah’s CD, to be distributed with the second mailing of the Auction catalog.
For instant exposure to the wide world of Jewish listeners, there’s no better option. Oorah’s Auction catalog reaches households throughout the world with its eagerly anticipated selection of $5 prizes, all to support its highly successful network of kiruv programs. In the midst of alot of hard work, he decided, Pharaoh the wicked,
We have to sink the Jews, and drown them, in the river,
Because of a prophecy from the stars,
A child must be born,
He will lead us, show us, and redeem us Yiden,
From this suffering
There was a child that was very guarded, he was hidden in a box,
That was smeared with tar and lime,
So that he shouldn't get wet and freeze from the cold
When Pharaoh's Basya (Pharaoh's daughter) wants to go swimming,
Her hands became very long, she didn't have to strain herself,

Lipa's Next Concert
Sorry, if I scared anyone out there with the title of this post, but no, I do not have any information on when his next concert will be. I merely mean to suggest the name for it. I think that in advertising the next concert, signs and billboards should be put up everywhere saying:

English Translation Of Gam Zu L'Tovah- Track 1 Of "L'Tovah"
Nachum ish Gam Zu came from Gimzo, a town not far from Lod. He was called "Nachum ish Gam Zu" [which literally means: Nachum, man of Gam Zu] because he always said "Gam Zu L'Tovah". The lyrics in the song come from a Gemara in Sanhedrin [Daf Kuf Ches Amud Beis- 108b]. That Gemara relates the following story: One day, the Jews needed to win the Caesar's favor through a gift they would give him. They sent Nachum ish Gam Zu to present the gift. On the way, Nachum stopped at an inn. The inhabitants of the town asked him what he had in his big chest. He said that it was a gift for the Caesar. In the middle of the night these inhabitants emptied the chest of the jewels contained within and refilled it with dirt. When Nachum presented the chest to the Caesar it was opened and found to contain this dirt. Nachum was taken away to be killed for this insult to the Caesar. As they led Nachum away he said "Gam Zu L'Tovah".
Eliyahu Hanavi came down to earth disguised as a Roman official. He suggested that maybe this dirt was miraculous. Perhaps it was the same dirt that the Jews' ancestor, Avraham, had used against his enemies. That dirt was said to have turned into swords when thrown at the enemy. The Romans decided to give this theory a try. There had been a certain district that was giving the Romans problems. Try as they may, the Romans could not defeat this district. They threw this dirt at them and sure enough it turned into swords and the Romans were victorious. When the Caesar heard this he let Nachum ish Gam Zu go and sent him back home with his chest filled with jewels. On Nachum's journey back, he stopped at the same inn. The inhabitants asked him what he had given the Caesar to deserve the jewels now in his chest. He said that he gave the Caesar whatever was in the chest. After hearing this the inhabitants went with chests filled with dirt to give to the Caesar. This dirt was found to contain no miraculous qualities and these inhabitants were therefore killed for this insult to the Caesar.
Look how everything turned out ok. Look at the power of "Gam Zu L'Tovah".

Why I Don't Post Reviews Of Lipa's Albums
Can a mother tell you which one of her children she loves the most? Can someone say which one of his fingers he likes the best? So too, can we really say which Lipa song is the best, which album is the best, which song we like the most. As Lipa says: I love them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I go out into the world, from the new generations,

I'm still not a Tzadik,
But I don't get tired,
I still don't give up,

I get broken up (yet) I don't leave this [he continues Davening],
Because I'm speaking to Taty [Hashem] in my simple language.
Just like a baby that has no teeth,
And can't speak but can only cry,
What this child wants the mother understands right away.
When one does Hishtadlus [puts in effort],
Who can estimate the worth,
What is in truth a greatness [It appears great to us],
Maybe in Heaven they see it as the opposite [Therefore, maybe even small effort is in reality greater than things that appear great to us].
We are still not a Tzadik, we're not allowed to become tired,
